Human Resources Assistant
Karam Evi is seeking an HR Assistant who will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate submission of human resource documents and transactions, supporting recruitment and hiring, and implementing the department’s strategy. Additionally, the Assistant will support onboarding and offboarding, performance management, and staff capacity building. The HR Assistant will coordinate these efforts with hiring managers and serve as the first point of contact for staff. The Human Resources Assistant will be integral in helping Karam Evi succeed in its mission to grow 10,000 Leaders by 2028.
Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and facilitating the hiring process
- Work with hiring managers to create and implement effective onboarding plans
Human Resources Development
- Administering human resources plans and procedures that relate to company personnel
- Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
- Recommending and supporting the development of new policies, approaches, and procedures
- Provide advice on the implementation of policies and procedures
- Support the development of training for staff
Administrative Management
- Planning and organizing the activities and actions of the HR department
- Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
- Assist in annual reviews and performance management processes
- Support the management of employee relations counseling, disciplinary, and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records (attendance, employment documents, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
Work Culture
- Ability to conduct responsibilities and support coaching of team members on work culture and policies
- Be a positive presence in the workplace and a knowledge resource for other staff members
Qualifications
- Turkish Citizenship is required.
- At least two years experience working in HR, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- A Bachelor's or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or a combination of experience and training will be considered.
- Excellent ability to organize and prioritize work and driven to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and people skills
- Knowledge of human resource functions and systems (compensation and benefits, recruitment, training, development, etc.)
- Ability to develop and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Understanding of Turkish labor laws
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and reliability
- English & Arabic advanced proficiency is also required
- Additional Turkish language proficiency is preferred
Location: Karam House Reyhanli
Hours: Full-time - 40 hours per week, Saturday - Wednesday
Reports to: Karam Evi Site Manager or Human Resources Manager
Compensation: is commensurate with experience and qualifications and is paid in Turkish Lira.**
