Job Description
We are currently seeking an inspirational leader as Turkiye Strategy & Pharma Business Unit Director to help drive the core country strategy; lead HIV, Immunology and Diabetes business units and drive innnovation through Data and Omnichannel teams to ensure access for patients to our medicines and vaccines. You would be a close partner of Turkiye Managing Director and part of the leadership team, with ownership and accountability for both strategic projects as well as ensuring we have the right operational plans and tempo to drive results.
In this role you will gain a broad understanding of our business, and drive the tailored execution of the corporate strategy and data & omnichannel capabilities. In particular there will be a focus on commercial innovation and people management. You will need to be self motivated, inspiring leader and have the ability to work across a broad range of topics.
Turkiye Cluster, being a growth driver in the EEMEA Region, is comprised of Turkiye, Ukraine and CIS countries. Turkiye is a key contributor in this Cluster with well established healthcare infrastructure and dynamic population. We work in close partnership with the EEMEA Region to ensure an aligned approach across the totality of our business and strategies.
Activities you would be involved in include:
- Strategy:
- Define future strategies, objectives and key results for Türkiye and monitor progress towards achieving these goals together with Managing Director and the Leadership Team.
- Ensure the Managing Director is adequately prepared for all internal and external engagements, working with the relevant subject matter experts within the organization. Manage prep & content for Türkiye presentations including business reviews, forecast presentations and Leadership meetings.
- Proactively identify and execute projects of strategic importance to the International Markets and EEMEA Region, oversee management & coordination of key initiatives.
- Lead Data & Omnichannel teams to enhance data-driven digital working model and improve the patient journey with innovative approaches and partnerships. Sponsor Strategy & Innovation agile team across all business units.
- Pharma Business Units:
- Perform in the HIV (launch), Immunology (maturity) and Diabetes (Loss Of Exclusivity) environment where presence in the external environment is critical, showing an understanding of the need for policy shaping and patient access activities to support the development of the portfolio.
- Perform outstanding execution by assuming responsibility for the Profit & Loss within a multifunctional organization in a highly competitive therapeutic area.
- Engage, motivate, and inspire his/her organization (marketing, sales, and agile team). Set direction for the business and align the team to enthusiastically execute on strategy.
- Attract, retain, and develop strong and diverse talents inclusive of succession planning.
- Liaise and build strong relationship with the regional and global organization by integrating the broader organization’s expertise and know-how into the operations and take guidance effectively from and contribute to corporate knowledge resources.

- Customer Relationship and Engagement Management - strong presentation skills to communicate marketing strategy and execute appropriate tactical plans to target customers.
- Cross-Functional Capability - Held leadership roles in and/or managed multiple functions, successfully acquiring the appropriate breadth/depth of expertise. Leading through our agile ways of working and embrace the Objectives-Key-Results structure to achieve targets.
- Build Effective Teams - Engage, motivate and inspire his/her organization. Demonstrate ability to lead and influence people and team who are not reporting directly to him/her. Attract, retain and develop strong and diverse talents.
- Field Force Management – Shows solid understanding of strategies, tools, processes, and methods that optimize field force effectiveness with a view of maximizing field force capabilities.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical sector
- Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills in English
- Proven leadership with strong operational and strategic experience
- Preferred successful and diversified experience in Marketing and Sales Management, People Management (manager of managers), Strategy and Business Development.
