We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel who will be part of Obilet.com’s -Turkey’s #1 online travel booking platfom- Strategy, Data and Corporate Development Team to work mainly on corporate law, commercial contracts, data protection Iaw and IP-related matters as well as legal assistance for our international expansion plans.

Main responsibilities will include:Preparing legal opinions and policies as well as executing the required actions for full compliance with Turkish and international data protection laws where Obilet has / will have operations at; ensuring compliance with data privacy and digital market regulations
Drafting and reviewing contracts with suppliers, providers and clients; leading negotiations with lawyers of counterparties
Drafting corporate documents (PoAs, general assembly minutes, board resolutions and internal directives) and contributing to corporate governance matters
Following up IP-related processes and projects
Managing legal documents and records
Assisting of the coordination with Obilet's affiliates in foreign markets and their legal counsels / advisors regarding legal matters and processes
Assisting of the conducting research on foreign market laws and regulations
Taking part in M&A and investment round discussions; drafting / reviewing the transaction documents
Translating legal documents from / to English
Periodically auditing whether the rights and obligations arising from the existing contracts are fulfilled
Monitoring and following up the amendments on the relevant legislation
Identify, assessing and mitigating existing / potential legal risks related to Obilet's activities
Preparing legal notices and official letters
Reviewing and updating documents and statements published in Obilet's B2C channels
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable law school with strong academic record
6 months to 1.5 years of relevant professional work experience built at a reputable law firm or a public / private company in the fields of data protection, IP&T, compliance and corporate law (long-term internships at international law firms will also count)
Working knowledge on M&A projects, legal due diligence and investment rounds is a plus
Strong writing and negotiating skills both in Turkish (will be tested) and English (proven by IELTS or TOEFL score or any similar certificate)
Ability, experience and willingness to occasionally translate complex legal documents from / to English (will be tested)
Ability to create business contracts from scratch (will be tested)
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (will be tested)
